Willows Haven is a family collaboration! We are second generation bulldoggers, and third generation dog breeders. The love and passion of animals and especially dogs was cultivated by our grandparents who raised wild New Guinea Singing Dogs and kept a pet emu. From there our parents partnered and built Willows Haven to be a world re-knowned kennel. They were also the first kennel in Canada to own and raise American Bulldog with our father establishing and maintaining personal relationships and friendships with the likes of Billy D. Hines and Kyle Symmes.
Our parents will be the first to admit that they may not know everything but what we do know comes from over 25 years of training, breeding and studying all aspects of dogs. They strived and devote their time to educating themselves and others on all the latest canine research, trends and concerns. And used a holistic approach to raising dogs and looked to care for the MIND, BODY and SPIRIT of their dogs.
As Master Certified Trainers who use a positive approach to training, we have dogs that are licensed and certified CD and therapy dogs. Our father spent years as a professional guard working exclusively as a dog handler, working and training protection breeds for clients such as the whales at the Vancouver Aquarium.
They passed their belief that training and education go hand in hand not just for us but for others and attend and host conferences, seminars and lectures to keep current with other like-minded individuals. And you'll find us at Pet Expo's and rare dog shows promoting and introducing our breeds. We firmly believe that you CAN teach an Olde Dogge new tricks.
We put our experience and knowledge to use. With advice and support of our parents, who have published numerous articles in such dog circulators including, Dogs All, Creature All, Dog World and Dogs In Canada and more. We are also extremely pleased with their collaboration with Kennel Club Books entitled The Comprehensive Olde English Bulldogge, due to be released with their rare breed selection and our mother, though semi-retired, can be found freely giving of her expertise and advise on AsktheExpert.com as a consultant on whelping and breeding.
